All data is read-only. ClickBoss never modifies bids, pauses keywords, or changes anything in your Google Ads account.

## How to connect

1. Go to **Settings** in your ClickBoss workspace.
2. Under **Integrations**, click **Connect** next to Google Ads.
3. You will be redirected to Google to authorise access.
4. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Google Ads account.
5. Grant the requested permissions and return to ClickBoss.
6. Select which Google Ads accounts to include.

If you use a manager account (MCC), you can connect at the manager level and select individual accounts underneath it.

## Permissions required

ClickBoss requests read-only access. The Google account used to connect must have at least **Read-only** access to the Google Ads accounts you want to include.

## What ClickBoss uses this data for

* **Morning briefing** — Spend anomalies, CPA spikes, and keyword performance changes
* **Playbooks** — Keyword analysis, search term review, quality score monitoring, budget pacing
* **MER calculation** — Google Ads spend is included in total marketing spend
* **Investigation** — Ask questions like "which Google Ads campaigns have the worst quality scores?" or "show me search terms that are converting at a high CPA"

## Frequently asked questions

**Can I connect a Google Ads manager account (MCC)?**
Yes. Connect at the MCC level and then select the individual client accounts you want ClickBoss to pull data from.

**Does ClickBoss support Performance Max campaigns?**
Yes. ClickBoss pulls Performance Max campaign data at the campaign level. Granular asset-level breakdowns depend on what Google Ads makes available through its API.

**Why does spend in ClickBoss differ from what I see in Google Ads?**
Check that your workspace timezone matches your Google Ads account timezone. Also confirm you are comparing the same date ranges. Google Ads rounds some figures differently depending on currency.

**Can I disconnect Google Ads?**
Yes. Go to **Settings > Integrations** and click **Disconnect**. Historical synced data is retained.
